The project I am most proud of from my time working at More Lights Design - was being contracted as part of a team to help build the Mass Effect ride at Great America. It was the culmination of all the skills I learned while working there.   Coordinating with multiple teams with different time tables and schedules. Keeping track of a thousand little things and a thousand big things all at once. Miles of LEDs and wires. Hundreds of feet of rope for rigging all those panels. All sorts of trouble shooting, problem solving and long nights right before opening. Building something that thousands of people would interact with I learned a lot to say the least.

Pour a Pint

A project that I hold in high regard despite the outcome. We had a short deadline after the original contractor dropped out. These were built for the World Cup, meant to dispense you a pint of beer if you had a certain kind of passport. They were designed to be outdoors and operated remotely. The trickiest part besides the deadline was finding a car audio installer to come to us on a Saturday.

For me though this project will always be special because it was the first time I used CAD software to design a project. This client wanted drawings and a visual prototype. No one on my team had those skills - I learned quickly. I designed something given their specifications, and had a miniature of it made using a laser cutter to show our client..

The Prototype

Hastily thrown together as a test mule while we figured out all the electronics and keg operation.
